Catch a Sound is a permanent companion ability obtained through a personalized energetic ritual from my family’s private practice. The working is approached in relation to the recipient’s own nature, form, and existing abilities.

Thunder caught during a flight, water moving through a favorite cavern, or laughter from a shared gathering can become something the companion carries. The sound is the focus: its tone, rhythm, and association with the place or experience.

The carrier can suit the individual. A dragon might favor a crystal, a fae a closed seedpod, and a ghost a small knot of mist. Opening or engaging that carrier releases the captured sound into the chosen astral setting.

This differs from Keep This Moment, which preserves a broader experience as a keepsake. Catch a Sound focuses specifically on sound and its later release.

The ability is permanent. Where its use involves a temporary manifestation, position, or effect, permanence refers to the companion’s retained ability to engage it, rather than an effect that must remain active continuously.
